Katie

Jayne started writing books during the summer of 2010 with her daughter, Katie.  Katie is an artist.  She loves to draw cats.  So Jayne and Katie spent a summer writing Welcome to Camp Catnip, a picture book about a troop of cats who go camping.  Katie was the illustrator.  Jayne was the storyteller.  Since that summer, Katie has gone on to explore the wonderful world of art and grow as an artist.  She paints more than just cats now, but cats continue to be her favorite subject.  Jayne enjoyed writing children’s books so much that she decided to pursue it professionally.  Working with children’s books takes Jayne back to the time when her children were small and she read picture books to them nightly.  Those are sweet memories.
